YCN brief continued...
Still on with the M&S brief but getting close to the end now. I have finalised the PlanA logo itself now so am developing this with the bag range. Looking a little bit different than the last time I posted but after a bit more research and a setback with a broken Imac I have ended up going for a more refined style which plays on the original M&S branding colour scheme a bit more. Hopefully I should have everything finished by Friday as the clocks ticking and there are more projects to get underway, so I will post final pieces then. (click on images for larger versions)

Narc Magazine update...
I submitted my entry for the Narc magazine cover and C.D. at the end of last month and was pleased to be shortlisted with ten other students by Euan from Narc. We all sat down and discussed our pieces and since then have been waiting for the results to come in. I did'nt manage to scoop the cover, but happily have been picked to have my submission featured in the article alongside the others shortlisted, so a small victory at least.

YCN competition, M&S PlanA brief
This is the latest brief I have been working on, it is one of the YCN competition briefs based on promoting Marks and Spencers PlanA scheme http://plana.marksandspencer.com/
which focuses on M&S becoming a more ethically aware company, they are doing this by setting themselves targets over several years in order to become one of the most ethically conscious large companies in the country. The brief itself is based around encouraging the consumer to also take up the challenge to be more ethically aware in their daily lives through taking pledges on the M&S website such as, eat your five a day or use energy efficient lightbulbs, this could be realised through various media vehicles i.e. online advertising, store promotion, packaging etc. I decided to re-design the M&S bag for life into a collection of different bags each raising awareness by displaying a different pledge and how to achieve it, but also linking clearly to the website so that the consumer can become more involved and hopefully consider other pledges as well.
At the moment I'am finalising colourways for the series and arranging the final type layout but I thought I would post a couple of the development pages with the final series to be posted later this week.

Bob Jackson
I've just built this up as a new form of torture for myself so I thought I would share the first few photos before the bike gets all battered...
